  • The Virginia earthquake made big news earlier this week, and hundreds of miles aways, some Marlborough residents felt its effect. We asked our Facebook readers to fill us in on whether or not they felt anything, and those who responded helped inform our story.

  • On Monday there was an heartfelt community response to one family's lost cat on our Facebook page. We featured a photo of the cat and gave details about the generous reward being offered in our 5 Things column.
  • As Hurricane Irene lurches toward the northeast, we here at Marlborough Patch are putting together stories and that we hope will prepare you for whatever comes our way. The stories we've published so far have been shared many times over both on Twitter and Facebook

Social Media Page of the Week

Marlborough resident and Waltham police officer Danielle Henderson recently had the thrill of traversing the rough terrain of Morocco in a race to the finish as part of ABC's series "Expedition Impossible." Unfortunately, she and her two teammates were eliminated in last week's episode after surviving the cut-off for more than two months. "The Cops" still have their own Facebook fan page, however, and if you want to congratulate them on their strong finish, I am sure they would appreciate it.
