Currently, we've got 683 fans liking us on Facebook, which is a great thing. We've also got 528 followers on Twitter, with numbers growing every day. Here are some highlights of what took place this week:

  • According to a Patch poll, 89% of the 28 voters thought that Massachusetts should utilize the Secure Communities program. This opinion is based on a story that ran on Patch on Monday regarding a City resident who was arrested on his sixth OUI charge and is an illegal immigrant. Facebook followers chimed in on opposite sides of the issue of his immigration status being relevant.

  • 25 readers recommended Patch's 2-part story on Sam Mahler, the youngest cancer survivor ever to ride the Pan-Mass Challenge! Follow the links to visit and .

  • A Boston Business Journal's article regarding the lawsuit pending between and the United States Federal Government went viral on Tuesday when Drudge posted it on their site. We posted our own story complete with an interview with the owner of the airport.
