, Mayor Arthur Vigeant's office has completed an investigation into the alleged misconduct of Superintendent of Schools Anthony Pope.
The report, which will eventually become public record, has not been released as of this post and is in the hands of the Marlborough School Committee, reported the Main Street Journal on Sunday.
Many of the arguments against Pope stem from the suspension and eventual firing of Assistant High School Principal Adam Bakr.
The major point of contention in the investigation targeting Pope, is to decide whether or not accusations of assault made against Pope have any validity. at in late-January, a teacher alleged that Pope shoved her and told her to go to her class after mistaking her for one of the protesting students. Police declined to press charges at the time, but the teacher filed charges on her own behalf at , said the MSJ.
No timetable has been set for the release of the of the mayor's report. There is a school committee meeting scheduled to be held Tuesday, May 8 at 7:30 p.m. This is a meeting open to the public, or the meeting can be viewed live on WMCT.
