Free Public Skating Temporarily Closed

Warm weather conditions have prompted free outdoor public ice skating in Ward Park to be cancelled temporarily.

It will take a few cold days before public skating at Ward Park is back up and running, say city officials.

The city announced yesterday that public skating was closed at the park due to the warm weather. Skating is entirely weather dependent and will require a stretch of cold weather before it can be brought back. The ice is always inspected for safety before public skating is allowed to begin again, said officials.

So after a few cold days, keep your eyes peeled here or on the city's website to keep up to date on the skating situation.
