Economic Development Corporation Plans Major Rezoning
Marlborough hopes that the changes will spur economic growth downtown.
The Marlborough Economic Development Corporation has announced plans to change zoning in order to encourage new development plans in the downtown area, according to a press statement on pr.com.
In the statement, Tim Cummings, the executive director of the corporation, said the MEDC hoped to begin making the changes by spring. The announcement comes in the wake of a number of reports released outlining potential steps forward that the community can take to make changes to revitalize and redevelopment the city's downtown. The reports are posted on the MEDC's website.
