City Opens Cooling Centers

Need air conditioning? Here are some free public options, courtesy of the City of Marlborough.

With temperatures soaring into the 90s and high humidity, the City of Marlborough annoucned that several cooling centers are available free for residents.

Air conditioning is available at the Marlborough Police Station lobby, at 355 Bolton St. and at the Marlborough Council on Aging at 250 Main St. 

Residents can also go to Marlborough Hospital, at 157 Union St., where the lobby is open to all until 8 p.m. and the cafeteria is open until 7 p.m.

According to weather.com, temperatures reached 91 degrees at noon on Wednesday, with humidity making it feel like 98 degrees. A heat advisory has been issued. 

The heat is expected to last through Friday.
