City Councilor Matt Elder said the proposal remains before the Urban Affairs Committee of the council and said additional time would be needed for the review because of summer schedules.

The extra time also enables a neighborhood meeting organized by Ward 2 City Councilor Richard Jenkins to be held before the committee finalizes its recommendations, Elder noted. That meeting is slated for July 18 at 7 p.m. at the Kane Elementary School.
