City Calls for Elections Workers; Hosts Elections Fair

City officials are calling on residents to assist with upcoming elections.

With the upcoming state and municipal elections, the city is looking toward the community for people to get involved in running the elections.

“We want to educate people and we want them to see what is involved,” said City Clerk Lisa Thomas. “We are hoping we can get quite a few people.”

The city is looking for more people to serve especially as wardens and clerks, she explained, but all positions will be explained during an elections fair on Tuesday, March 19 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the District Education Center at 17 Washington Street.
