The ZBA Chairman has said that it was time to vote and he would not have done things differently if he had known it was going to result in the resignation of two board members.

The ZBA decision prompted the resignation of the two members in opposition to the apartment complex.

The Zoning Board of Appeals approved the developments in a 3 to 2 vote, with conditions still yet to be established.

The financial impact of the development was laid out, with the margin of the benefit to the city being an estimated $186,000 annually.

City councilor's had previously questioned the speed at which the development's discussion was proceeding. City Councilor Joseph Delano said that the ZBA members had been heavily lobbied.

The ZBA had postponed a decision of the development as they looked for more information on the impact of the project.
