6 Ways to Make the Most of Marlborough Patch

Since Marlborough Patch was born on Dec. 30, 2010, you've come to rely on us for the latest news and information about town. Check out the tips below to help you optimize your Patch experience:

1. Follow us on Facebook. Visit the Marlborough Patch Facebook page and click "Like" to stay informed whenever a new article is posted. Stories, news alerts and daily facts you should know around town will be updated throughout the day so you never miss a beat. And let's face it, you're probably on Facebook anyway. A recently added feature allows you to "Like" Patch from the actual site. Just look at the top of the page you are now on, and click the button.

2. Follow us on Twitter. Tweeting, retweeting, we're constantly on this thing. Following us on our Twitter page is a sure fire way to make sure you're getting the latest news and information. We tweet the stories once they are posted, alert you to breaking news while we are heading to the seen and much more throughout the day.

3. Make Marlborough Patch your homepage. When you open your browser window, do you usually read the default webpage that pops up? Most of us won't bother to pay attention because the information may not be relevant or important to us. 5. Add events to the calendar and submit announcments. There are so many things happening around the city every single day and some that may not already be on the calendar that you want to share with the community. If you'd like to add an event, visit the Marlborough Patch homepage and scroll down. On the right hand side of the page, you will find the calendar that reads, "Add your own event." Click that and there you have it. The same goes for announcements and the "Add your own announcement" at the bottom of the featured articles stream.
