5 Things You Need to Know Today: Aug. 3

Here is a list of things going on in and around Marlborough today.

1. Wednesday (so far) is free of the storm warnings Marlborough has experienced over the past few days. Expect clear skies and a high of 81 degrees, says the National Weather Service

2.  announced on Monday that they are now delivering in the greater Marlborough area. And for those nearby but not in Marlborough, give them a call anyway. They still may deliver! 

3.  will wrap up their “Tools for School” school supply drive today. Take this final opportunity to drop of any number of school supplies to any one of St. Mary’s five branches in Marlborough, Hudson or Northborough. The supplies will be donated to Marlborough Community Services and the United Way of Tri County and distributed to local elementary, middle and high school students. Local branches can be found at;www.abettercreditunion.com. Supplies that can be dropped off to a St. Mary’s branch include notebooks, backpacks, pens and pencils, calculators, rulers and other school supplies.

4. The Arts Alliance and the River's Edge Players will perform Seussical at Hudson High School auditorium, 69 Brigham St., this Friday at 7:30 p.m. Tickets sell from $8 to $14. 

5. For all those looking for a job: The new Wegmans in Westborough is looking to fill over 400 part-time and full-time positions at its new 138,000 sq. ft. store, set to open on Sunday, October 16 in Northborough Crossing, a development at the intersection of Routes 9 and 20. Open interviews are being held Aug 3 through 6, and 8 through 9 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 227 Turnpike Road, Westborough (Regal Cinema Plaza). Call 508-366-2863 to schedule your interview. Walk-ins are also welcome.
