5 Things: Blizzard Driving and Overtime
From the danger of driving in a blizzard to overtime for firefighters; we have what you need to know today.
1. Were you one of the people who cursed Governor Deval Patrick's driving ban? Well you can't argue with the results as they appear in today's police log. Before the ban went into effect, and roads were still in decent condition, there were a number of accidents. Then they all dropped off when the ban went into effect.

3. The City Council voted last night to approve roughly $100,000 in Fire Department overtime. The vote came as officials say the department will be in better shape to reduce overtime moving forward.

5. The School Committee will be discussing finances tonight. The committee recently had to ask the city for an additional $2.6 million in funding and received a verbal lashing from City Council President Patricia Pope.
