20 Sites Get Medical Marijuana Licenses

The MA Department of Public Health announced on Jan. 31, that 20 applicants will be receiving medicinal marijuana licenses.

The Department of Public Health announced Friday morning the 20 applicants that will be awarded medicinal marijuana licenses to operate in Massachusetts.

Dispensaries will be located in Mashpee, Dennis, Taunton, Fairhaven, Salem, Haverhill, Holyoke, Northampton, Lowell, Ayer, Newton, Cambridge, Brookline, Quincy, Plymouth Brockton, Boston, Milford and Worcester, according to the announcement.

More than 100 groups applied for licenses to open medical pot shops around the state. The licenses were awarded by county.
