17 Million Massachusetts Vitals Records Go Live on Web [POLL]

Late last week the most complete online database of Massachusetts genealogical records to date went live on the Internet.

Stretching back to 1620 and including the vital records of Paul Revere, Benjamin Franklin and many more (17 million more), the genealogy website Ancestry.com has made these records available for a price, said the Boston Globe.

The records, which were collected by a Massachusetts couple over the course of several decades, are for the most part available to view for free in town and city halls across the state, but this represents the most complete collection of Massachusetts vital records in one place, said Ancestry.com. 

They even include the birth and census records of well-known Marlborough residents through the years including the author Horatio Alger.

The Globe reported that new Ancestry.com users are offered a 14-day free trial with a credit card, after which time subscription fees range from $12.95 to $34.95  per month.
