Police arrested a woman last Friday after she reacted to their attempts to serve a warrant on another person.
“The female started yelling and screaming at the officers while they were making the arrest," said Det. Scott DeCiero, of the Community Services Bureau of the Marlborough Police Department, of the incident that occured around 10:30 on Friday night on Lincoln Street.
Police attempted to restrain Ana Wydom, 45, of 29 Royal Crest Drive Apt. 6 and place her into protective custody as she was intoxicated, he said.
“She then grabbed one of the officers and attempted to claw him,” said Det. DeCiero.
She was restrained and received charges of assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
Earlier that day, at 6:46 p.m., police arrested Robinson Robin, 28, of 174 Ponakin Road in S. Lancaster at Target on Donald J. Lynch Boulevard. He had allegedly attempted to steal $703.20 worth of tools and cleaning products. Among them were a vacuum, socket set and a jig saw, said Det. DeCiero.
He was charged with larceny over $250 and larceny over $250 by single scheme.
