Woman Tries to "Claw" Police

A woman has been charged with assaulting a police officer while a man is accused of trying to shoplift home improvement and cleaning supplies.

Police arrested a woman last Friday after she reacted to their attempts to serve a warrant on another person.

“The female started yelling and screaming at the officers while they were making the arrest," said Det. Scott DeCiero, of the Community Services Bureau of the Marlborough Police Department, of the incident that occured around 10:30 on Friday night on Lincoln Street.

Police attempted to restrain Ana Wydom, 45, of 29 Royal Crest Drive Apt. 6 and place her into protective custody as she was intoxicated, he said.
