Woman Hides Car After Alleged OUI Crash

A woman was charged with operating under the influence after allegedly hiding her car after a crash while under the influence of liquor.

A Marlborough woman allegedly hit a utility pole so hard that it cut off power to a neighborhood and then tried to conceal her damaged vehicle in her garage while driving under the influence of liquor Saturday morning.

“The pole was cut in half so residents and businesses lost power to the area," said Detective Scott DeCiero of the Community Services Bureau of the Marlborough Police Department.

The woman, identified as Robin Casey, 29, of 42 Sumner Street Apt. 1 allegedly drove off after striking that utility pole and attempted to hide her vehicle, said Det. DeCiero.

“(She) then attempted to conceal her damaged vehicle in the garage,” he said.

Police contacted her at the residence where they took Casey's statement. She failed a field sobriety test and was charged with a second offence of operating under the influence of liquor, leaving the scene of property damage and marked lanes violation.
