When Does Marlborough Winter Parking Ban Begin?

You Ask, Patch Answers.

The Marlborough winter parking ban will begin on Dec. 1, Marlborough Police announced Monday. It continues through March 15, 2014.

Under the ban, cars are prohibited on city streets from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. regardless of weather conditions.

According to police, vehicles violating the ban are subject to a $10 penalty. Additionally, vehicles that interfere with snow or ice removal operations are subject to towing and storage at the owner's expense.

The following streets have exceptions to the ban: High Street; Brown Street; Brook Street; Emmett Street (from South Street westerly to dead end); Ringold Street.

The exceptions don't apply, meaning vehicles will have to be removed from those specific streets, under the following conditions: When a snow or ice storm has been predicted; When a snow or ice storm is actually occurring; During post-storm plowing or clearing operations by the DPW.
