UPDATE 3 PM: According to Marlborough Fire Department officials, the tractor trailer that tipped over was carrying frozen foods in the trailer box, but everything was contained within the trailer. The Marlborough Fire Department responded with a fire engine, rescue and support vehicles.
No diesel fuel has been spilled. Ted's Towing will be pulling the tractor trailer upright.
Original story: Traffic at the Route 290 East exit to 495 North is at a standstill with a tractor trailer truck across all three lanes of 495 North.
All lanes of travel on RT 495 northbound are closed to traffic at this time, according to State Police.
State Police are currently at the scene of a rollover at the bottom of the ramp from Route 290 eastbound.
Police officials have confirmed that the driver is the only occupant of the truck, but have not released information about his condition. Early reports indicated that the driver was trapped with minor injuries and that fuel was leaking onto the road.
The Mass Department of Transportation (Mass DOT) is responding with arrow boards to help re-route traffic from the closed Route 495 northbound lanes. Traffic delays are expected.
State troopers at the scene are from the State Police Barracks in Leominster, the Barracks in Holden and the Troop C Community Action Team (C.A.T.) along with Troopers from the MPS Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement Section and the Marlboro EMS.
We will have updates on the accident and traffic conditions as information becomes available.
