Sixth Structure Fire in Three Weeks Hits Marlborough

The sixth structure fire in three weeks hit in Marlborough Monday night.

Fire crews responded to their sixth structure fire in three weeks around 10 p.m. Monday night.

A 911 call reported a fire at 100 Phelps Street. Engine 1, Engine 3 , Ladder 2, and Rescue 1 responded on the initial alarm.

Engine 3, arrived from their station on Boston Post Road and found an 8 b 10 foot storage shed on fire. The fire was extinguished, preventing it from spreading to the nearby mobile home.

The fire caused an estimated $1500 worth of damage to the shed and its contents.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Marlborough Fire Department’s Fire Investigation Unit. Anyone with information about this fire should call the Fire Investigation Unit at 508-624-6984 Extension 13.
