Public Argument Prompts Heroin Arrest
Police arrested a woman on heroin charges after stopping to investigate a public argument.
When police pulled over to speak to a man and women arguing in public they allegedly found a heroin needle in the woman's pocket.
"The officer reached in and the officer retrieved the needle with a substance inside believed to be heroin," said Marlborough Police Det. Scott DeCiero of the incident that occured shortly before 5 p.m. Monday.
The officer had seen a man and woman arguing on Chestnut Street near Sumner Street. When the officer was speaking to them, the capped, hyperdermic needle could plainly be seen in the woman — later identified as Colleen M. Cahill, 36, of 30 Bigelow Street in Brighton — by the police officer, said DeCiero.
