The investigation into the fatal shooting of Bryce Coutinho by a Marlborough Police officer is still underway, according to officials from the Middlesex District Attorney's Office.
The investigation continues with the district attorney, said MaryBeth Long from the attorney's office. The officer involved remains on paid administrative leave following normal procedures.
The investigation began after the fatal shooting on November 12. It has been reported that Coutinho had a knife on him at the time of the shooting.
According to court documents, Coutinho had assault and battery charges pending against him from an incident the previous month in which he had also allegedly jumped in front of a car in a suicide attempt.
