Police Log: Warrants on Destruction, B&E; Sex Offenses at High School

The following information was supplied by the Marlborough Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. All arrests are reported.

 

Police were busy Monday serving a handful of warrants to people who were wanted in court to respond to a variety of charges, ranging from breaking and entering to destruction of property, trespassing to assault with a dangerous weapon. There was also a call to the high school for sex offenses; police would not release additional information, noting that juveniles were involved.

Monday, March 26

9:24 a.m.: Police served a warrant to Sean M. Hyland, 37, of 35 Phelps St. The warrant was from Framingham District Court on the following charges, police said: breaking and entering to a building, destruction of property, trespassing, larceny over $250 and possession of burglarious tools.

10:18 a.m.: A sex offender registered at the .

11:29 a.m.: Vandalism was reported on Melody Lane.

11:54 a.m.: Police served a warrant to Wendy L. Coombs, 54, of 28A Main St., Apt. 2. The warrant was from on two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery.

1:59 p.m.: Sex offenses were reported at . There were no arrests. Police said no further information would be released as juveniles were involved.

2:43 p.m.: Police responded to a disturbance at , 31 Main St.

3:28 p.m.: Vandalism was reported at the SMOC Boarding House.

3:47 p.m.: Police responded to a disturbance at The West Ender, 493 Boston Post Rd.

3:59 p.m.: A larceny was reported at White Real Estate, 85 Broad St.

5:19 p.m.: There was a motor vehicle crash with injuries at Main and East Main streets.

5:45 p.m.: An animal complaint was called in on Walcott Circle.

6:20 p.m.: Police arrested a Berlin woman and a Marlborough man at the police station, on warrants. Cara R. Scott, 24, of 21 Jones Rd., Berlin, was charged on two warrants (operating with a suspended license and receiving stolen property); and James R. Hutch, 24, of 45 Miles Standish Dr., Marlborough, was charged on one warrant (receiving stolen property.)

7 p.m.: Police served a restraining order at a Newton Street address.

9:20 p.m.: Police served warrants to two teens, ages 16 and 15, on Broad Street. One teen was charged with defacing property and the other teen was charged with receiving stolen property, police said.

Tuesday, March 27

12:57 a.m.: Suspicious activity was reported on Highland Street.

12:25 a.m.: Police responded to the report of a past breaking and entering at Ocean State Job Lot. The building was checked and secured.

6:32 a.m.: Police responded to a burglar alarm at . The building was checked and secured.
