I have had my fair share of run ins with these ferocious killers. If I never see another pit bull again, it will be too soon. I say let the dogs fight it out.

Labs a nd Goldens retrievers are the most popular breeds so it makes sense that there would be more bites. As a percentage of breed Pits are aggressive.

You know, when ever somebody disagrees with me, the first thing that I like to do is insult their intelligence. I feel it really helps change their opinion, and come over to my side.

I don't think anyone here is accusing you of being intelligent.

The tragedy of pit, the best of the the fighting breeds, is that they can be happy, friendly snuggly and begin tugging at the same time. Most dogs have to be fired up or ill to attack and then not stop. A "good" pit bull will attack without reason (off territory, not guarding a resource), attack without warning, immediately do damage, not stop even if the other submits/is down/yelps, not stop even after being dismembered. There are accounts of dog men (pit bull fanciers/fightters) in order to prove that their pit was "dead game" chopping off their dogs' toes. Pits who happily rushed back into the pit on their bleeding stubs were prized and if they survived, their stud fees/pups for sale brought good prices. No dog is born mean, but "good" pits are born to kill one another for no reason. These traits were essential for pits to be THE best fighting dog, and pits are the best. They are different. Proof? Essentially ALL US dog fighters use only pits. Ban pit breeding now!
