The pair had left Longmeadow together, and she agreed to that, but while on the Mass Pike, the man had reportedly demanded money for gas and held her in the vehicle against her will, said Det. Scott Deceiro. The woman told the suspect an acquaintance would meet them at Hunt's Mobil to provide the money. Once there, she escaped. Police arrested Michael Joseph Rabideau, 22, of 23 Cold Harbor Dr., Northborough, on charges of kidnapping for extortion, intimidating a witness, assault and threatening to commit a crime.
