Police Log: Arrests for Assault and Battery, OUI

The following information is provided by the Marlborough Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Jan. 3

9:40 a.m.: Police and firefighters responded to a report of a gas leak on Rolfe Drive.

11:04 a.m.: A disturbance was reported at an apartment on Lincoln Street.

12:05 p.m.: A crash with injury was reported near Maple Street Auto Body on South Street. One person was taken to the hospital.

12:39 p.m.: Police responded to a report of a vehicle crash involving property damage, near the Tanning Salon on Hosmer Street. Police arrested Joseph Kenney, 30, of 65 Main St., Apt. 25, Hudson, on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, failure to yield at an intersection/no right on red, and a warrant.

2:19 p.m.: Police responded to a disturbance on Broadmeadow Road.

2:21 p.m.: Police responded to a disturbance on Mill Street North.

3:32 p.m.: Police responded to a disturbance at Marlborough East Apartments on East Main Street. Police arrested Susan A. Schmitt, 44, of 195 East Main St., Apt. 76, Marlborough, on a charge of assault and battery on a pregnant person.

6:37 p.m.: Police received a report of a breaking-and-entering into a vehicle at Fore Kicks, on Forest Street.

7:12 p.m.: Police received a report of a breaking-and-entering into a vehicle at Gold's Gym on Maple Street.

10:09 p.m.: A disturbance was reported on Broadmeadow Road.

Saturday, Jan. 4

12:51 a.m.: A disturbance was reported on Main Street.

10:28 a.m.: Vandalism was reported at an apartment on Phelps Street.

12:45 p.m.: A disturbance was reported at Honey Dew Donuts on Boston Post Road East.

3:39 p.m.: A theft was reported at Circle M Gas on Lincoln Street.

4:14 P.M.: A disturbance was reported on Chestnut Street. Police arrested William Joseph Cardoso, 35, of 182 Chestnut St., Apt. 2, Marlborough, on a charge of assault and battery.

8:31 p.m.: A disturbance was reported on Pleasant Street.

10:11 p.m.: A disturbance was reported at Countryside Village on Boston Post Road East.

Sunday, Jan. 5

1:20 a.m.: A disturbance was reported at an apartment on Beach Street.

1:48 a.m.: Police responded to a report of a crash involving property damage near City Hall. Police arrested Mary R. Kurgan, 35, of 599 Main St., Hudson, on charges of failure to stop for police, OUI liquor and a marked lanes violation.

2:49 a.m.: Police responded to a disturbance at McDonald's on Maple Street.

4:17 a.m.: Police pulled over a vehicle at Main and Mechanic streets. Police arrested Sushil S. Behere, 35, of 42 Marien Lane, Marlborough, on charges of OUI liquor and speeding in violation of a special regulation.

10:09 a.m.: Police responded to a disturbance at the Solomon Pond Mall.

3:47 p.m.: Police responded to Stow Road after getting a 911 call that hung up. Police arrested Jerry Charles Ferris, 52, of 133 Stow RD., Marlborough, on two warrants.

8:24 p.m.: Police received a report of a disturbance on Williams Street.

9:23 p.m.: Police responded to McDonald's on Maple Street for a report of a disturbance.

11:36 a.m.: Police received a report of a domestic disturbance on Clinton Street.

Monday, Jan. 6

2:13 a.m.: Police pulled over a vehicle on Maple Street. Police arrested Peter A. Nebel, 25, of 3911 Gift Blvd., Johns Island, SC, on charges of OUI liquor, and a marked lanes violation.
