"Mouthy" Man Allegedly Bites Police Officer

A man was charged with assaulting a police officer after he allegedly bit him.

Police have charged a Marlborough man with two counts of assaulting a police officer after he bit one on the arm after he was being booked for assaulting a woman.

"I ripped my arm from his mouth while feeling the skin and flesh pull," wrote Officer Kenneth McKenzie of the reported assault which occured while police were booking Juan Carlos Sanchez-Flores, 25, of 588 Lincoln Street.

For his alleged assault, in which he also struck another officer, Sanchez-Flores was tasered. According to McKenzie's report, Sanchez-Flores had been "mouthy" all night, beginning at a residence on Lincoln Street where he had shown up twice while intoxicated.

When police arrived at the residence, they were told that Sanchez-Flores had bitten the finger of a woman and grabbed her throat when she attempted to take his keys away so he would not drive, according to court documents. Sanchez-Flores was arrested on February 8 of this year on charges of a second offense of operating under the influence of liquor. He appeared to be intoxicated, according to court documents, and was "mouthy" to police.

"Juan was speaking in his slang and told me he was a 'straight up gangster,'" said McKenzie in his report.
