Marlborough Woman Punches Man Following Sext

A nude photo prompted a Marlborough woman to punch her ex-boyfriend and destroy his television, according to police.

“Nichole stated that she was in the Lowell area when her ex-boyfriend of 5 years who had just broken up days before sent her a picture of another woman’s breasts,” wrote Marlborough Officer Scott Carey in his police report.

Nichole L. Mendonca, 23, of 50 Williams Street Apt. 2 reportedly drove to her ex-boyfriends house after receiving the nude photo. She found him outside next to a fire with his roommate.

“She went up to him and struck him with her fist in his face,” wrote Carey.

Mendonca then proceeded into the house, locking out her ex and his roommate. According to police, she then entered his room and smashed his flat screen TV as well as a picture frame. Mendonca’s ex-boyfriend and his roommate broke into the home through the front door before they were able to subdue her. When police arrived and spoke to Mendonca and the ex-boyfriend, they told the same story and Mendonca was arrested, wrote Carey.

“There were no visible injuries to either (the ex-boyfriend) or Nichole and both stated they were neither injured nor needed medical attention,” he wrote in his report.

Mendonca was charged with assault and battery and vandalizing property. She was released on personal recognizance bail after a court appearance.
