Marlborough Woman Named to Assistant District Attorney Position

A Marlborough woman is among the class of new assistant district attorneys in Middlesex County.

A new group of assistance district attorneys named last week includes a Marlborough woman.

Whitney Williams, of Marlborough, is a graduate of Boston College Law School and is assigned to the Lowell District Court, according to a press release from the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office. She joins nine other new ADA's in the office.

“We are thrilled to welcome this talented class of Assistant District Attorneys to the office and specifically to the various district courts in the county, which are the hub of our criminal justice system,” said District Attorney Marian Ryan. “This group brings experience from the public and private sectors. Many have interned with us and others have clerked in various courts. It is wonderful to see so many talented young lawyers committed to public service.”

The new ADAs have been assigned to the district courts throughout Middlesex County, including Framingham, Malden, Cambridge, Lowell, Woburn and Somerville. The new lawyers will contribute to the district courts in Middlesex County, which handle more than 30,000 cases each year.
