Marlborough Night Club Attack Results in a Weapons Charge

An alleged assault at Speaker's Night Club ends in weapons charges for a Marlborough woman.

A Marlborough woman who attacked a man outside of Speakers Night Club faces a weapons charge.

Victoria K. Gaucher, 27, of 73 Lakeshore Drive was arrested at 1:42 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 31 at Speaker’s Night Club on Weed Street after police observed security pulling her away from a man as she attempted to punch him. Police questioned the man, who stated that he had attempted to talk to Gaucher's friend in the club and then when the bar was closing Gaucher assaulted him by "pushing and punching him as he attempted to walk away from the confrontation," according to a police report by Officer Christopher Bradley.

While police were booking Gaucher, they found a can of pepper mace in her purse, according to court documents. She did not have a license for the mace and reportedly told police she had been given it by her sister.

She was charged with assault and battery, disorderly conduct and a first and subsequent offense of possessing a firearm or ammunition without an FID or license.
