Marlborough House Explodes
911 calls made a little after 1 a.m. alerted the Marlborough Fire Department to the explosion.
At 1:04 a.m. this morning, multiple 911 calls were received alerting the Marlborough Fire Department to a house explosion at 15 Grant Ct.
According to a press release from Deputy Fire Chief Ron Ayotte, upon arrival they found that a section of the house was on fire and that the walls of the house had been blown out and collapsed.
One person was home at the time of the explosion, and he was already out of the house when the first units arrived. He was transported to UMass Medical Center in Worcester for injuries sustained from the explosion. Ayotte said that there is no information as to the extent of his injuries or condition.

The incident was terminated at 4:37 a.m. Engine 1, Engine 2, Rescue 1 and Tower 1 all responded to the call on the first alarm assignment.
The cause of the explosion and fire is being investigated by the Marlborough Fire Department's Fire Investigations Unit and the State Fire Marshal.
