See the fire house up close and in person.

The Marlborough Fire Department  is holding a Fire Safety Open House at Marlborough Central Station on Saturday, Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Firefighters will be demonstrating the way to escape a smoke-filled room, cooking safety tips and fire prevention tips. Sparky, the fire safety mascot will be on hand interacting with the children.

Each year, fires claim hundreds of lives throughout New England. Fire Safety Open Houses are geared towards educating the community and preparing them for potential fires, according to a release about the event.  Each year, these Open Houses help to better prepare families in the event of a fire and hopefully save lives.
