Man Assaults Pregnant Woman with Gun

A Marlborough man has been accused of pushing a gun into the stomach of a pregnant woman.

Police have charged Angel Castro with assaulting a pregnant woman after he allegedly pushed a handgun into her stomach.

"The defendent had grabbed her by the neck and pushed a handgun into her stomach. Stating I will [expletive deleted]ing blow you away [expletive deleted]," wrote Officer David Garceau in his police report.

According to those documents, the event occured after Castro, 34, of 16 Royal Crest Dr. Apt. 4 asked the victim for money to buy drugs. Castro is believed to be the father of the child, according to court documents. The victim had previously filed a police report about being abused by Castro. The arrest was made at the Framingham Police Department.

Castro has been charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery on a pregnant person. He is currently being held in the Middlesex Jail without bail.
