Man Arrested on Warrant Wanted by Immigration

The suspect faces arraignment today.

A Marlborough man was arrested in Westborough on Wednesday night on a warrant from Westborough District Court for operating a motor vehicle without a license and speeding, Westborough Police say.

Mauricio M. Mina, 35, of 9 Lincoln Court, Marlborough was pulled over by Officer Chris Atchue at Route 9 at Hundreds Road around 6:40 p.m. Wednesday, Police Chief Alan Gordon said in a press release this morning. 

Atchue discovered the arrest warrant during a random check of vehicles' registration on East Main Street, where he first saw Mina's vehicle, Gordon wrote.

In addition, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials told police that Mina was wanted by their agency, Gordon wrote. A detainer was then lodged against Mina.

Mina is being held at the Westborough Police station for arraignment in Westborough District Court today.
