July 19: Worcester Man Arrested on Rape and Kidnapping Charges

The arrest information included was supplied by the Marlborough Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction. All arrests are reported.

9:41 a.m.: A report is filed concerning a suspicious motor vehicle in the area of Jefferson and Highland streets. 

11:50 a.m.: An act of larceny is reported at 34 Main St.

1:02 p.m.: A report of harassment is given to police at New Horizons, 400 Hemenway St., Apt. 380.

5:59 p.m.: Mark R. Gamache, 55, of 66 Wilson St., is arrested during a disturbance call at the same address and charged with assault. 

7:05 p.m.: Jeffrey A. Butler, 36, of 40 Melbourne St., Worcester, is arrested at 34 Central St., Apt. 1A, during a disturbance call. He is charged with violating an abuse prevention order, aggravated rape, breaking and entering in the daytime for a felony, impeding an investigation through witness intimidation, kidnapping, assault and battery, resisting arrest, possession to distribute drug paraphernalia, assault, assault and battery on a police officer and vandalizing property. 11:21 p.m.: A building is checked and secured by police at 223 Main St., after the burglar alarm sounds.
