Heroin Arrest in Supermarket Parking Lot

Two people were arrested in a supermarket parking lot Saturday after what is alleged to be heroin was found in their possession.

Police arrested two women over the weekend in a supermarket parking lot after they were discovered by police with two needles allegedly containing heroin.

Marlborough police were called to the Price Chopper on East Main Street shortly after 9 p.m. on Saturday for what a witness believed to be drug activity.

When police approached a Volkwagen Passat parked in the back entrance of the building they found two females in a car, according to court documents. The women were later identified as Sara J. Millette, 25, of 9 Pierceville Rd. Apt. A in West Wareham and Cara J. Quindley, 24, of 1157 Centre Street in Middleborough.

The driver of the vehicle had blood on her left hand, stated Patrolman Scott King in his police report, and a spoon and needle loaded with a brown, liquid substance were found in the car. The needle had blood on the tip, according to court documents.

A search of the car revealed another needle in the center console loaded with brown liquid that appeared to be heroin, Patrolman King said in his report.

Police arrested both women and charged them with drug possession class A. Both were released on bail and have a pretrial hearing scheduled for April 29.
