Grafton Man Faces Judge Two Days a in Row, Attempted Murder Suspect Arraigned

Luis A. Gonzalez, 46, of 75 West Mountain St., Grafton, and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a license revoked as an HTO (habitual traffic offender) not once, but twice last week. He was originally pulled over by an unmarked police cruiser Thursday, Oct. 13 and charged with driving without a license and running a stop sign. After appearing in court and paying $200 cash bail on Friday, Oct. 14, a police officer at Marlborough District Court recognized Gonzalez and observed him driving away from the courthouse. He was once again arrested and charged, having his bail increase more than 10 times to $2500 after the second arraignment. 

Matthew Merrill, 20, of 103 Frye St., Tuesday, Oct. 18 on suspicion of breaking and entering into a vehicle/boat in the daytime for a felony, larceny over $250 and Class D civil possession of marijuana. Court records said the defendant told police that he entered the car through an open door in order to turn out a light that was on. He was released on $200 cash bail.

Rhomal Yuvini Silva, 25, of 44 Park St., Apt. 402, on the morning of Thursday, Oct. 20 on multiple counts of attempted murder and Assault. He appeared for arraignment in Marlborough District Court Thursday afternoon, and is currently being held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing that is to be Wednesday, Oct. 26. 

Jesus A. Silva, 21, of 44 Park St., Apt. 402, in the attempted murder case Thursday morning after police discovered he was the owner of the unlicensed handgun used in the incident. He also remains in police custody as of Friday afternoon, and is being held on $10,000 cash or $100,000 bond. He will face accessory before the fact and gun charges when he returns to court Friday, Nov. 18.
