Drunk Man in Sombrero Celebrates Cinco de Mayo by Train Surfing, MBTA Says

He told authorities he had been drinking on a Boston pub crawl and was on his way home to Worcester.

A "heavily intoxicated" man dressed in a sombrero and poncho for Cinco de Mayo hopped on top of a moving MBTA commuter rail car Monday in Southborough, officials said.

The 28-year-old man's name was not released, according to WHDH/7News.

He told authorities he had been drinking on a Boston pub crawl and was on his way home to Worcester.

“This gentlemen was heavily intoxicated so that he didn’t have control of his senses and faculties. For whatever reasons, in that state he made a very dangerous decision,” MBTA spokesman Scott Farmelant told WHDH.

Authorities said he was given a summons for trespassing.
