Two Women Charged with OUI, Drugs

A traffic stop resulted in the arrest of two people on Rawlins Avenue.

Two women were arrested Sunday following a traffic stop, with charges that include operating under the influence of liquor and having unregistered mace.

At 10:59 p.m. on Sunday, police pulled over a car on Rawlins Avenue, driven by Brittany Gray, 25, of 571 Silver St., Rollingsford, N.H., according to police records. Police had observed her vehicle and made the stop for traffic violations, said Detective Scott DeCiero of the Marlborough Police Community Services Bureau.

Police arrested Gray on charges of operating under the influence of liquor, improper operation of a motor vehicle, harsh or objectionable noise from a motor vehicle and refusing to identify herself or giving a false name.

Her passenger, Stevie Lee Butterworth, 25, of 141A Broadmeadow Rd. Apt. 12, was also arrested.

“At some point she got out of the vehicle and was causing a scene,” said DeCiero of Butterworth.

While taking an inventory of Butterworth's belongings at the police station, mace and Adderall—with no prescription—were found, he said.

Butterworth was charged with disturbing the peace, a first and subsequent offense of possessing a fire arm or ammunition without a license and possession of a class B drug.
