Daytime Robberies and a Fall at School

Emergency personnel were busy this week in the city.

Three daytime robberies prompted police to reach out to residents while a reported student fall from over 25 feet in the air drew fire personnel.

Extra vigilance is being called for by Police Chief Mark Leonard following three day-time break-ins Thursday. While no one was home at the time and no one was injured, police are asking for everyone in the city to be especially watchful.

It is unknown yet whether these robberies are linked to a series of daytime robberies earlier in the year that targeted cash and jewelry. There have been no arrests on those Marlborough robberies, said Leonard.

A student at Assabet Valley Vocational High School was reported to have fallen more than 25 feet on Monday. Once fire officials were on the scene, it was determined that the student had fallen from a height of over 6 feet and was transported to the hospital for evaluation.
