Clinton Man Arrested for Assaulting Police Officer

Gregory Alger has a long history of arrests in the region.

A man and a woman from Clinton are in trouble with the law after incidents last week in Marlborough.

Gregory J. Alger, 31, of Woodruff Road in Clinton, was arrested at 11:50 p.m. on June 29, on a disturbing the peace charge. Also arrested was Sarah A. Johnson, 30, of Woodruff Road in Clinton, on June 29, on a disturbing the peace charge. They were arrested after police were sent to a disturbance at the intersection of East Main and Clinton streets.

A few hours later, at 2:44 a.m. on June 30, Gregory Alger was arrested again, this time on Bolton Street and charged with assault and battery, two counts of assault and battery on a police officer, disturbing the peace, and resisting arrest. Police were sent to the address for a report of a domestic disturbance.

According to online reports, Gregory Alger has been arrested a slew of times around the area.

Last summer, according to a post on Patch, he was arrested on an assault and battery charge on East Main Street in Marlborough.

In July 2012, according to the Clinton Item, he was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, subsequent offense, disturbing the peace, subsequent offense, resisting a lawful arrest, threatening to commit a crime, assault and battery on a police officer and carrying a dangerous weapon.

In May 2008, according to Masscops.com, he was arrested in Hudson on a number of warrants. A few months later, Gregory Alger was arrested again on warrants in Hudson.
