Case Files: Berlin Road Stabbing Suspects Given $50,000 Bail

Stabbing Suspect Face a judge and a kidnapping suspect is is given high bail.

Shortly before 11 a.m. Wednesday, the Wareham Police in conjunction with SEMLEC SWAT responded to the Silver Lake Motel, 3126 Cranberry Hwy. in Wareham, where they arrested without incident Joseph Nsubuga, 22, of 24A Second St., Framingham, on suspicion of being involved in a stabbing incident at 399 Berlin Rd. Sunday morning. Nsubuga faced charges of two counts of assault to murder and a single count of mayhem in Thursday, Dec. 15 and Friday, Dec. 16. Bail was set at $50,000 and he is due back in court for a pre-trial hearing Tuesday, Jan. 17. 

The second suspect in the Berlin Road stabbings that sent several to area hospitals with serious injuries on Sunday, was arrested Thursday evening by Framingham police detectives. Michael Rodriguez, 26, of 19C Interfaith Ter., was transfered to Marlborough Police Department custody and advised of his Miranda rights. Rodriguez was charged with armed assault to murder, mayhem and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon in court Friday, Dec. 16, at which time bail was set at $50,000. He is scheduled to return to court for a pre-trial hearing Tuesday, Dec. 17.

The Marlborough man suspected in an attempted domestic kidnapping in Hudson Monday afternoon was in Marlborough District Court earlier this week (Tuesday, Dec. 13) to answer charges. Ever Mendez, 29, of 15 Broad St., Apt. 1R, reportedly stopped traffic at the intersection of Broad and South streets in Hudson Monday when he verbally assaulted his girlfriend then physically forced her from a friend's car into his own vehicle. Mendez was arrested in Westborough at his place of employment late Monday, then transfered to Hudson Police custody. His bail was set at $5,000 and a pre-trial hearing has been scheduled for Jan. 6, 2012.
