Aggressive Behavior on Soccer Field Leads to Arrest

John Harris, 37, of 29 Olde Coach Rd. in Westborough, was on Wednesday, July 27 and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, disturbing the peace and furnishing a false name/SSN to the .

Marlborough Det. Martha Shea told Patch that Harris was charged after reportedly acting irritably and aggressively at Ward Park in the morning. While playing soccer in the football field, two victims feared that Harris might kick them with his cleats or attack them with a soccer ball. Shea said that witnesses at the scene said that Harris had become angry and aggressive.

Shea said that when Harris was booked and fingerprinted, his true identity was revealed because the fingerprints revealed that he had a warrants out for his arrest.

Harris was arraigned in on Thursday, July 28. His case was continued to Sept. 19 for a pretrial hearing.
