A New Fire Station and Same Police Chief

Marlborough officials have decided to keep the current police chief while looking into expanding police and fire services.

Marlborough officials have voted to extend the contract of Police Chief Mark Leonard for another four years while looking into expanding safety services west.
A contract extension would carry Leonard into 2017 as chief. The vote was taken last week and marks a four years extension for the chief.
Expansion on the west side of the city has pushed officials to look at how to expand fire services. It is still unknown what this will look like for the city, but it might include a new fire station in the area or a multi-use safety building.
