2 Marlborough Residents Arrested in Sudbury

The following arrest information was supplied by the Sudbury Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Two motor-vehicle stops by the on Thursday resulted in two Marlborough residents being arrested.

At about 2:45 p.m., an officer driving on Boston Post Road witnessed Ellen Ferreira, 29, of 1 Briarwood Lane, apparently using her cell phone was driving. The officer pulled Ferreira over when she allegedly didn't stop properly for a red light.

During the officer's investigation, it was found that Ferreira had a warrant out for her arrest for a motor vehicle incident in Hudson. According to Sudbury Police Lt. Robert Grady, the warrant was for leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.

Ferreira was arrested on the warrant and was also cited for the red light violation.

She was released at 6:29 p.m. and was scheduled to be arraigned at Framingham District Court on Friday.

At about 8:29 p.m., an officer driving on Boston Post Road randomly ran a report on the license plate of a car being driven by Robledo R. Morais, 38, of Foley Road.

The report claimed Morais' license had been revoked.

Morais was pulled over, arrested on the license charge, and held overnight. He was transferred to Framingham District Court Friday morning for his arraignment.
