Gallery - Labor Day Parade 2013
Marlborough's annual Labor Day Parade wasn't a washout- despite Mother Nature's best efforts!
Braving the elements for the sake of Tradition!
Quite a few intrepid souls braved torrential downpours on Monday to march and watch Marlborough's annual Labor Day Parade.  Despite rainfall that would have given Noah pause, intrepid marchers and attendants alike stuck it out through several waves of heavy end-of-summer rain.  Hiding strategically under a tree near the Walker Building, I took the day off from my post as Royal Photographer for King Richard's Faire, and once again kept up tradition of photographing Marlborough's parade. Â
Perhaps the best shots are those of local students, politicians, and groups attempting to shrug off the downpour.. in particular, those who believe that politicians are often all wet will find some proof of their belief.. many kudos to all who participated and went to see the parade!
As always, many thanks to Bob Kays and Ed Thurber (among MANY others) for their efforts that make so many of our local community events such a success year after year!
