UPDATE: Robert Stetson Gone at 65, Services Monday

The owner of Marlborough Airport died suddenly Friday, April 27.

Robert Stetson, 65, of Marlborough and the owner of the for more than a decade, died Friday, April 27, 2012.

Stetson, reportedly died at after suddenly falling ill. Service arrangements are being handled by the . A wake will be held Monday, April 30 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the same address. Additional services will be private and held at the family's convenience, said a representative of Rowe Funeral Home. 

A retired engineer, Stetson purchased Marlborough Airport from Donald Lacouture in 1999. The business off Farm Road is home to nearly 50 aircraft, while offering flight instruction and maintenance services as well. The North Andover Flight Academy also offers helicopter instruction out of the Marlborough business, said a report from the Community Advocate.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra, his children, and grandchildren.
