Obituaries: Sonia R. Hanna, Margaret Ciannella, Kathleen Delaney

The following residents and former residents of Marlborough have died in recent days.

Sonia RHanna, 41, of Marlborough, passed away Dec. 10, 2013 at her home. 
Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of Priscilla (Dunn) Hanna of Framingham and Carlos Caraballo of Franklin. 
A homemaker, Sonia had a loving and giving nature. Besides her parents, she is survived by her daughters, Shanniely Pitre of Marlborough and Rochelle Rodriguez of Hudson, her life time companion, Marcio Almeda of Marlborough, her sisters, MaryEllen Riley of Franklin, Sonia Rodriguez of Worcester, Roberta Hanna of Marlborough, Aurora Carballo of Franklin, and Caroline Marques of Florida, and her grandchildren Lani and Levi. She was also the sister of the late Christopher Hanna. 

Margaret "Peggy" (Montgomery) Ciannella, 83, died Dec. 14 after a short period of failing health. She was the wife of Michael Ciannella Sr. to whom she was married for over 60 years. She was born in Marlborough, the daughter of the late Alfred E. and Elizabeth (Gereway) Montgomery and lived here all of her life. Mrs. Ciannella worked as a matron for the Marlborough public school system for many years. She also worked as a waitress at the former Oxford restaurant and the former Friendly's restaurant in Marlborough.

Kathleen E. (O'Loughlin) Delaney, 88 of West Dennis, formerly of Marlborough for many years, died Wednesday Dec. 18, 2013 in the German Center for Extended Care in West Roxbury after an illness. She was the wife of the late Peter A. Delaney who died in 2007. She was born in Hudson daughter of the late Leon W. and Dolores M. (Lacouture) O'Loughlin and lived in Marlborough for most of her life, she and her late husband Peter of 60 years enjoyed Naples, FL in the winter and Cape Cod in the summer and moved to West Dennis in 2002. Kathleen was a graduate of Marlborough High School and also graduated from Mass General Hospital School of Nursing.
