Natick — Yvonne Maria (Geniar) Daniels, 85, a former longtime resident of Natick died peacefully at Halifax Health Hospice, after a short illness
Yvonne met the “love of her life”, during World War II.  Her husband was a 2nd Lt in the US Army, and was stationed in Antwerp.  She came to the United States as a war bride.  They raised their four daughters in Natick, before her move to New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
One of the memories of the war that made her most proud, was her father, Albert, who worked for the underground during war time.  They hid a Jewish family in their home during the conflict.  As a young teen, she and her sister Simonne were sworn to secrecy.  At young ages they knew of the dangers of being discovered.
