Obits: School Teacher, Public Works Coordinator and Seamstress

Westborough — Elaine M. McPherson, 82, of Westborough, died on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at the Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center.

She was a talented, self-employed seamstress for many years. Later she worked as a sales clerk for many area jewelry stores.

Northborough — Joyce (Raymond) Gray, 67, beloved wife of Richard Gray, died Tuesday, February 19, 2013.

She retired in 1997 after working for Volmer & Associates, Gannet Flemming, and Modern Continental where she served for nearly two decades as an inspector and project coordinator for bridge, tunnel, and road construction operations across New England.

Northborough — Susan M. (Michalak) Duquette, of Northborough and Centerville, formerly of Shrewsbury, died Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at home with family gathered by her side after a long battle with breast cancer. She was 58.

Duquette lived most of her life in Shrewsbury and was a graduate of Shrewsbury High School, Class of 1972. She then earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Worcester State College and later her Master's Degree in Computer Science. She taught one year in Northborough at the Melican Middle School and then for over 14 years as a teacher at Shrewsbury High School.
