MarlboroughSister Estelle Airoldi, a Sister of St. Anne, known in religion as Sister M. Therese-Estelle, died at the age of 84 at Marie Esther Health Center on Saturday, January 5, 2013. She was in her 65th year as a Sister of St. Anne.

She served in Marlborough, until her death, as the Assistant Province Treasurer for the Sisters of St. Anne (USA).

MarlboroughSister Helene Hayes (Mary Hayes) died on January 6, 2013 after a brief illness. She was 72 years of age and had been a Sister of the Good Shepherd for 54 years.

She received her Bachelor of Science degree in the School of Education and her Masters degree in Social Work from Fordham University in NY.  Sister then went on to study Policy Analysis and Planning in the doctoral program at Boston College in Chestnut Hill, MA where she earned her PhD in Social Work.

ShrewsburyJoseph O.R. “Ronnie” Roberge, 88, of Shrewsbury, died Friday, Jan. 4, 2013 at Shrewsbury Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after an illness.

He graduated from South High School in Worcester and later served his country proudly with the United States Navy during W.W. II. He worked as a Licensed Master Plumber for various contractors in the Worcester County area, retiring from Sprague Electric in Worcester.

WestboroughFrances M. Powers, 86, of Westborough, passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at the UMass Memorial Healthcare University Hospital in Worcester. She was the wife of the late Bernard C. Powers.

Frances was a public school teacher for many years with the Northborough Public School System.

ShrewsburyGlen B. Umphrey, of Shrewsbury, died at home on Sunday, January 6, 2013 with his family by his side. He was 94.

MarlboroughBarbara (Barry) Kelly, 85, of Marlborough, died peacefully on Friday, January 4, 2013 at New Horizons in Marlborough.

A graduate of Newton North High School and a Newton resident for 73 years before moving to Marlborough, she had been employed as an assembler for the Raytheon Corporation for 30 years before retiring in 1987.

MarlboroughBhanumati C. Patel, 79, of Marlborough, died and left all of us in this world to serve Maharaj and Swami in Axardham on Thursday, January 3, 2013 (Magshar Vad Chhath Vikram Samvat 2069) at Marlborough Hospital.
